Betawise

A side project that started with my own Type 1 diabetes: a coach that turns two weeks of CGM data into one clear thing to work on this week.

01 — The problem

288 readings a day, and no plan.

My CGM takes a reading every five minutes. I see my endocrinologist for about fifteen minutes a few times a year. In between, thousands of readings pile up in apps that show a squiggly line and an average. I wanted something that would read the data the way an expert would and tell me what to work on.

02 — Decisions
  1. One weekly focus, not a dashboard.

The pattern engine finds overnight lows, dawn phenomenon, post-meal spikes, and rebound highs, then suggests working on just one.

Trade-offHides detail power users want, so every metric stays one tap away.

  2. Safety ranks first.

If lows break consensus limits, they become the focus, even when fixing highs would gain more. Tap "Night lows" on the phone to see it.

  3. AI explains the numbers; it doesn't invent them.

Every metric is deterministic, tested code. The AI coach only talks about the results.

  4. Private by design, with guardrails outside the model.

Analysis runs on your device. Dosing and emergency questions get fixed, safe responses before any AI call.
